Fruity Yogurt Popsicles

Makes 4 popsicles (doubles easily)

A smoothie in popsicle form! An easy-to-make, delicious, and nutritious snack for adults and kids alike. Feel free to invent your own flavour combinations, or stick with the suggestion combinations, below.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup chopped fresh or frozen fruit or berries

  • 3/4 cup Tree Island Yogurt, any flavour

  • 1/4 cup milk

  • Optional – up to 1 tsp granulated sugar

  • Optional flavourings – grated zest of 1/2 lemon or lime OR 2 drops vanilla extract

METHOD

Combine the yogurt, milk, fruit, and optional sugar & flavourings, if using, in a blender or in the cup of an immersion blender. Blend until completely pureed. Pour mixture into a popsicle mould, add the popsicle sticks, and place carefully in the freezer. Freeze until solid, about 3 to 4 hours.

FLAVOUR COMBINATIONS TO TRY

Raspberry-Lime: raspberries, Coconut-Lime Yogurt, and lime zest (adding something sweet is recommended)

Strawberry-Vanilla: strawberries, Vanilla Yogurt, and 2 drops vanilla extract

Blueberry-Lemon: blueberries, Lemon Yogurt, and lemon zest

Mango-Cardamom: fresh chopped mango, Orange-Blossom-Cardamom Yogurt
