3  lb chicken drumettes

1/2-cup soy sauce

1/2 cup rice wine vinegar

1/4 cup honey

2 tablespoons brown sugar

1/4 cup minced green onions

1 tablespoon finely minced ginger

3 cloves finely minced garlic

1 teaspoon ground coriander

1 teaspoon ground cumin

Juice and grated zest of 1/2 small juice orange

1 tablespoon Chinese five spice powder

1 teaspoon sesame oil


Preheat oven to 400 F.

Combine all ingredients except chicken in a small saucepan and heat until boiling. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes. Let cool slightly. Place all drumettes in a deep pan or non metallic bowl and cover with the still warm marinade. Toss gently to coat evenly. Cover with plastic wrap and chill overnight.

Arrange wings and marinade on large foil lined cookie sheet or roasting pan and bake for 45 minutes to an hour, turning once or twice.
