MARINATED GRILLED FLANK STEAK
1 large flank steak 2 – 2 ½ lbs.
¼ cup soy sauce
¼ cup honey
¼ cup white wine or sherry
¼ cup thinly sliced green onions
2 tbsps. Dijon mustard
3 tbsps. Balsamic or red wine vinegar
2 tbsps. Sesame oil
2 cloves garlic, crushed
Pepper to taste
4 tbsps. Fresh lime juice
3 tbsps. Soy sauce
3 cloves garlic, finely minced
1 tbsp. fresh ginger, finely chopped
6 tbsps. orange juice
½ tsp. red pepper flakes.
Combine marinade ingredients and mix well.
Score flank steak on both sides and place in a shallow roasting dish. Pour marinade over and chill covered six hours or overnight.
Remove flank steak from marinade and grill or broil approximately 5 minutes each side (for medium rare). Be careful not to over cook or the steak will be tough and chewy.
Slice diagonally against the grain and serve.
